Traveling from Huescar Spain (Granada)

Hello.. I will be settled in Huescar Spain for a few months -it is in the far northeast section of Andaluscia. I believe it might be in the mountains.

I am curious to see if anyone here has visited there? I am curious to find out how easily it will be to travel from this location. I will not have a car. I don't see a train station but there are buses. Does anyone have any tips from this area?

I don't know this region (although the question sounds familiar). Bus service to Granada is by www.alsa.es and takes just under 3 hours. It looks like you'll always have to be careful with schedules, since there's another town called Huesca (no "r") in the north of Spain (with train service). I have a hunch that you'll be pretty isolated here.
