I am flexible as to my travel time table. I can travel either month but since November is not considered high season, hotels are much less expensive and hopefully it will be less crowded. But will there be issues with major attractions being closed? Will weather be a big issue? I'm okay with cooler days and a LITTLE rain.
Where in Spain do you want to go?
November would be better for Andalucía, October would be better for the north coast.
Spain is a big country with diverse climates, it depends where you will go but in general I think you'll be fine either in October or November, no major attractions close down.
The plan is Toledo, Barcelona, Granada, Seville, Madrid with a few day trips thrown in along the way.
Either would work for me, so choose based on which best suits your schedule.
Thanks so much to you all!

We were in Barcelona, Sitjes, Granada and Seville in November. The weather was fantastic. Warm in Barcelona, and beach weather further south in Seville and Costa del Sol. We found Granada a bit cool in the evening. Everything was open. It was a great time of year to visit Spain. We took a spring/fall jacket with us to put over lighter layers.
We have been in Andalusia twice in late October/ early November and it was pleasant, not hot, perfect for site seeing..
