We are finishing our RS Best of Spain tour in late Oct in Seville and starting our Heart of Portugal tour 5 days later in Lisbon. What is the best way to visit the Algarve and Sintra in 5 days?
Thinking of taking bus to Faro to rent car and drop in Lisbon. Then I would appreciate suggestions for what to see and do in Algarve and on to Sintra? We do like to hike and kayak and not so interested in beach time.
I am not finding good info on bus to Faro.

If you are not interested in beach time, I am not sure the Algarve is for you. Especially in late Oct, which is off-season and not necessarily beach weather anyway.
I would stay an extra day or two in Seville, considering the many day trip options available, and fly to Lisbon.
