We are traveling from Granada to Malaga at the end of October and when I looked on Trainline there are no direct trains and train times are not too convenient. There are buses, but we are not bus people. Has anyone hired a driver from Granada to Malaga and are there any interesting sites along the way to see. Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
In May we traveled in the opposite direction, Malaga to Granada and found direct routes on the Alsa bus line. The bus was very clean and comfortable and only took 1 1/2 hours. And the cost was less than $20 USD per person.
Take the ALSA bus; it's 1 hour 30 minutes.
The buses in Spain are quite nice.
We took bus from Sevilla to Ronda then to Malaga.
Great scenery.
Inexpensive, comfortable, luggage goes underneath.
I just purchased tickets from Granada to Malaga on Alsa. I was early enough that I was able to get the four seat assignments up front. We prefer trains too but our bus trips in Spain, when upfront, have been a great way to see the country. The buses in Spain are quite comfortable.
