Travel experience in Spain Dec 6th and Dec 8th National Holidays

I am considering a mother-daughter trip to Spain Dec 6th-13th or 14th. I have recently learned that Dec 6th and 8th are national holidays. Will our transportation, restaurants (less touristy ones) or attractions be limited? Do closures vary by region? (We haven't picked a place yet, but probably Barcelona or Madrid, maybe Sevilla but less likely). I am trying to judge if this will negatively impact us on a relatively short trip. This would be our first time to Spain. Thank you!

Just the opposite. There will be more transport means available as many Spaniards go on vacation those days (although this year Dec 6 is on a Saturday and Dec 8 is on a Monday), all attractions will be in full gear and all bars and restaurants will be extremely busy.

I´ve posted this before, as for some reason visitors tend to think we close attractions, bars and restaurants during vacation days, while it´s just the contrary, they are very, very busy days for these kind of places.

Thank you for the information, I really appreciate it. In your opinion, do you think the crowds would detract from the visit very much?

Not on this trip, as there´s really just one day off and there´ll be less people than in other Dec 6 and 8 (when they are on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively, it´s almost a whole week off for many Spaniards).

@Mikel, don´t forget that in Navarra, Dec. 3rd is a holiday (San Francisco Javier, day of Navarra) and if you work in Pamplona there is Nov. 29th, San Saturnino patron of Pamplona (not that other guy). So instead of normal "puente" or bridge, I will have a "viaducto".
