We will be in Tavira, Portugal mid July and need to get to Granada, Spain by bus, rail. Is that possible without taking the overnight bus? Would it be better to get to Seville by bus and rent a car to leave in Granada? Trying not to drive, but don't know if this is possible.
Bus with http://www.damas-sa.es/index.php/rutas-y-horarios/ to Seville
Bus with alsa.es Seville to Granada
We have checked out those sites, thank you. Wondering if we should bus to Huelva, Spain (stop before Seville) and rent car from there?
The bus from Seville to Granada takes about 3 hours, and is direct (no changes) and inexpensive. Buses in Spain are much nicer than Greyhound in the US (you get an assigned seat). You don't want or need a car in Seville or Granada themselves. So, you only need to look into car rental if you're making other stops along the way.
We went all over Croatia by bus last summer so we are familiar with European busses. Prefer it to driving, flying whenever possible.
Thanks for the help.
