We will be taking the train from Seville to Madrid in late September. We will be flying from Madrid to Amsterdam.Question : what's the best way to get from the train station to the airport in Madrid? How much time should we allow for the transfer?
Direct bus. About an hour.
I will suggest 45 minutes to 1 hour if you are using the Metro to get from the train station to the airport. You will have to wait for the train and transfer at least 1 time. The Metro home page has a calculator that will tell you how long it will take you from station to station.
The yellow Expres Aeropuerto bus from Madrid's Atocha station runs to all terminals of the airport; check with your airline which terminal you need. If you're headed to Terminal 4, you also have the option of the direct Cercanias train. If you're using Rick's Spain book, see also pages 488-92. It's a large train station.
problem solved- thank you Laura, Nestor and Frank
