Transportation from the airport to my hotel

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all fine. In September I will be visiting Barcelona for the first time. My hotel is located on Carrer de l'Argenteria. I would like to ask you, which is the best way to get there with the public means of transport from the airport and how long low does it approximately take to get there. I mean, believe from the airport I will take a bus, but then what?

I would like to thank you all in advance for your time and answer,
I hope I'm not bothering you,

My best wishes to everyone,

If you want to take a regular public bus rather than the airport bus, bus 46 starts at the airport and goes direct to Plaza Espana. We always take this bus. Straight shot to Plaza Espana, normal fare, and usually no pickpockets because only locals use it. Once you get to Plaza Espana you could walk 3 blocks and then jump on bus 120, which has stops around Carrer de l'Argenteria. Use this interactive map. https://www.tmb.cat/en/barcelona-transport/map/bus Click on both 46 and 120 to see the routes. We prefer to use the bus in BCN, particularly in summer when the air con on subways is severely lacking.

Glad I could help. Enjoy your trip. It is a great city. Some places we like that I have posted elsewhere:

Check out the pool bar on the roof of the Renaissance Barcelona Fira hotel (across from Ikea). Bus 46 goes right by here. Drinks aren't expensive considering it is a hotel. They serve snacks as well. Amazing views.

Tucco Real Food https://tuccorealfood.com/ is a budget pasta set menu restaurant. Great value and super busy as a result. There are 2 locations. The original one is in El Born and feels very BCN.

We like La Paradeta - inexpensive seafood chain with several locations around BCN. https://www.laparadeta.com/en/
When it is your turn you choose what you want from the raw seafood display at the entrance. Tell them how you want each item cooked (fried, grilled, etc). They weight it all to get the price and then you go and get drinks and pay the bill before sitting down. They cook your food and call your number as each item is ready for pick up. It comes out one by one so you don't get everything at once. They usually speak a little English as they get a lot of tourists.

This will seem like a strange recommendation, but if you like good value like we do the beer at the TGB chain of burger restaurants is quite cheap. My wife and I get a big draft beer and a glass of wine for EUR 5.50. Some have terraces (patios) so you get people watch at the same time. https://thegoodburger.com/es

Look for Spain Revealed videos on YouTube. James takes you around to different restaurants in many cities around Spain including BCN.

BCN is very safe with hardly any violent crime, but pickpockets and petty theft are a real problem in areas tourists frequent so just be aware of who is near you when walking or sitting in a café particularly on Las Ramblas. Also, check your bill for mistakes before paying. It is common and not always on purpose. Sometimes the mistakes are in your favor. Lastly, if you pay in cash make sure you know what denomination bill you are giving them in case they screw it up.
