I am so close to having all this transportation figured out, but am still struggling when in Tarifa trying to get to Granada. There are not very many buses that leave in the late morning from Tarifa and we want to arrive in Granada late afternoon. I think our best bet is going to be using a private transportation service to Malaga. That way there are many more options to get to Granada from there throughout the day. Does anyone have a recommendation?

You could take the 0845am TGCOMES bus from Tarifa to Malaga. Then can take an ALSA/DAMAS bus from Malaga to Granada. Easier to make bus to bus transfer at a bus station compared to going bus to train.
Tarifa is not a traffic hub—the bus “station” is essentially a driveway that loops behind a small one story building that has a small waiting hallway and a coffee bar. It’s within a reasonable walking distance of the old town.
