Transportation from El Prate airport to El Sante train station

How can we safely and quickly get to Barcelona El Sante train station to catch the TGV? Flying in on Delta 8:30 AM flight and need to catch TGV to Perpignan, France. Will have suitcases in hand. Have heard that there are many steps downstairs to the TGV in the big train station that make it difficult with luggage. Help!

Unless the schedule is different on your travel date, you're choosing between 13:20 or 16:45 departures from Barcelona Sants station. The train from airport Terminal 2 takes 20 minutes to Sants station, but only runs twice per hour, and if you're in Terminal 1, you need a shuttle bus connection. If the flight is nonstop from North America, or outside the Schengen zone, they you'll also have to go through passport control, where lines depend on the number of people in the mix. You can also take a taxi for about 40 euros.

You have no chance to make the 9:25. You should be able to catch the 13:20, barring any major flight delay. You'll also want to buy some sandwiches in or near the station before boarding. But if you miss it, most pre-purchased TGV tickets become useless. If aiming for the later train, you could plan a relatively relaxing lunch near the train station.

I´m agree with the other post. You need Time in your coneccion. In ocassions is fast, but you don´t know the time at the enter, El Prat is big Airport, and the train in ocasion is slow.

Another thing is you take a taxi, but is expensive. Your better deal is the train, Aiport to Sans Stació...
