how do cost compare with flight vs ferry transport? Best port for ferry? I am a retired teacher traveling solo

Use skyscanner to check for flights. It appears that Barcelona and Madrid have the least expensive flights.
Trasmediterranea runs car ferries from Cadiz to Las Palmas. They may not be very frequent, and at a glace it appears that the cost for a cabin is rather high. I imagine flying will prove to be less expensive. And you're probably more likely to be in Barcelona or Madrid than in Cadiz, right?

thanks for the quick reply and info! I will have more time than money so I will check the ferry that goes from Cadiz.
