We will be leaving Granada and need to get to Ronda. I realize there are several options, bus, train. But, I'm thinking maybe we would rent a car for this portion of the trip. Rent in Granada and drop off in Ronda. Has anyone done this? What would be some good places to stop along the way?
We are doing the Andalucia region starting in Seville, to Cordoba to Granada and then Ronda next February.
It's about 110 miles. You're right about renting a car as it's so much easier dealing with your lugggage, etc.
Two hours in a car beats twice that on public transportation. On A-92 highway, there's not that many cities to deal with.
Thank you David, is there anywhere along the way we should stop for a bit to check out?
We ended up taking a bus from Granada to Malaga downtown station, an hour or so layover, then taking a different bus company to Ronda. I found it very nice to be able to take in the scenery, and not have to deal with stop and go (mostly not go) traffic when half of the lanes on a highway was coned off for miles to accommodate repairs on a short section of roadway. Much more relaxing not having to concentrate on the road.
Thanks, hoping for a few more responses on this. Where are my Spain experts?
