Anyone familiar with trains between Barcelona and Girona? I keep reading about how easy a day trip is, and when I searched for schedules I get plenty of options for trains TO Girona on the day I want to go (March 23) but NONE returning. If I change the date by one week, still nothing. But if I change the date by two weeks (in this case 3/9) I get lots of options.
The RENFE schedule is not complete yet. That is why you don't see an option to buy tickets returning.
Nothing to worry about just check everyday or if you use Loco you can sign up to get an email alert when the Girona to Barcelona ticket is available for purchase

Schedules don't typically change much from week to week. I see what appears to be a full complement of trains from Girona to Barcelona on March 2nd, also a Saturday. They don't have the fast trains loaded yet for March 9. Use the March 2nd departures as a guide to what will be available for your travel date. If you want to snag a Promo ticket on a fast train, check every day so you can make the purchase as soon as your date goes on sale.
I had trouble buying my tickets to Girona in the US. I just bought the day trip tickets when I arrived in Barcelona at the station. It wasn't that much more expensive than online.
Renfe is quirkier than usual lately. Just look at this Saturday's schedule. There's little chance it will change in a month.
Thanks for the replies. I would have just assumed that the schedule isn't up yet, except that I did get quite a few trains listed from Barcelona TO Girona, so that made me think something else might be going on. I don't use the renfe site as often as some other countries train sites so I'll just keep checking back and assume the schedule will be similar to this months times.
