My sister and I will be flying to Madrid in three weeks then staying in Toledo for two nights. We cannot find any train or bus availability after October 2nd between Madrid and Toledo. Is it possible these fares can be booked for the whole month of October? Any suggestions how to get to Toledo on October 9th?

Be patient. Schedules are upload six months at a time. The new schedules should be loaded within the next couple of weeks. Just check every other day or so.

Plus, you really do not want to try to calculate what train would work for you given the variations of flight delays, getting through immigration, then to the train station. There are frequent trains, it is basically a commuter train, just get to Atocha station and buy the next available ticket.

Thanks guys, it sounds reassuring that we'll be able to stick to our plan of taking the train to Toledo and stay over there a couple nights before heading to Granada.

We are leaving in 12 days to Barcelona, Seville, then to Madrid. Trying to book a train from Madrid to Toledo on October 12th. Round trip, same day. Arrive early leave after dinner.
www.renfe.es says nothing available.

Yes, you just need to keep checking. Seems like they show up, then issues, then they show up.
Note: the notice you get is like an error notice, if trains are sold out, they will still show...just as full.

Thanks for the heads up misgierach! Just booked my Madrid - Toledo round trip tickets for October 11. I had given up checking online.
