Looking to book a train from Sevilla to Granada. There is a direct train between the two. It is on the train schedule for this month and part of March. But then for April and May, all the train trips require a connection. I am looking to book the trip on May 12.
Should I wait to buy the ticket assuming they will add more routes as we get closer? Or is it possible those direct routes are already sold out? It isn't a huge deal to catch a transfer, but if we don't have too....
The Ave/Avlo trains can be booked further in advance. The Avant (slightly slower high-speed rail that services the less important/regional routes) trains won't be bookable until closer to the travel date. That's why you're not seeing them for further out.
It can feel quite random when trains are available to book in Spain. There isn't a specific 60 days before, 90 days before you can count on. But, the train ticket you would like to book will eventually be available, don't worry. Just keep checking closer to your travel date.
Lots of high-speed train tix for Seville to Granada already on sale for May 12 at www.TheTrainline.com. You can find one that works for you and then book it on the website of the train company operating it. or just buy the tix from Trainline—which contracts with all four train companies to sell their tix.
We took the bus non stop it was quicker than the train

We took the bus and it was fine. There were no direct trains that day and the fare was much cheaper
Also check the "omnio" and "renfe" train websites. Frequently, they'll list trains that you might not see on the general websites. The omnio website also displays bus option
