train schedule from Seville to Madrid

To avoid flying out of Seville back to San Diego, I'm thinking about taking the train from Seville to Madrid to fly home from there. In checking online for a train schedule, I only see 3 departures each of which is early morning. Later in the day would work better say 11 a.m. or later as my Road Scholar program concludes that morning. Does anyone have information about a more comprehensive train schedule?
If I have to overnight in Madrid before flying out next day, what hotel would you recommend not far from airport?
Thanks!
Sandy

What website are you using for schedules, and what date? Not Rail Europe I hope. The correct website for trains in Spain is Renfe.com, but if you look too far out they will not show all the trains. I checked for a month from now, and the schedule shows a train every hour all day, at :45 past the hour, and others here and there. Maybe this will show it :

https://venta.renfe.com/vol/search.do?c=_N1DX

Edit--- that page timed out and does not show the schedule. I explained the schedule, and the post below confirms it. Trains at least once an hour all day.

I last stayed at the Hotel Nuevo Boston, right across from the airport. They have a free hourly shuttle. The room was spacious, and the price good.

Sandra,

When will you be traveling this route?

One can usually book train tickets on the
Renfe website ( Spain's National Railway Company), 60-90 days in advance, especially if you want to save money.

As has already been mentioned by the others, there are multiple trains traveling this route, however, when I checked the Renfe site 60 days out, it only shows 2 trains.

Your best bet is to keep checking for your date.

If you opt to book your tickets on the Renfe website, its easiest if you use PayPal to pay, instead of your credit card.

Have a wonderful trip!

Edit to add: We stayed at the NH Barajas Hotel near the airport & it offers a courtesy shuttle to the airport.
Their buffet breakfast is hearty & delicious and worth the extra fee.

If you join their rewards program when booking, you'll receive a 5% discount on all your bookings.
