Train Granada to Madrid-Antequera transfer

Hello, I am traveling from Granada to Madrid in May. We plan on taking a 6:45am RENFE train (but really a bus because of construction) that will get us to Antequera at 8:05, then transfer to an 8:23 AVE train to Madrid.

I am wondering if that is too short a transfer time at Antequera. I know the bus lets you off right at the train station, but there could be traffic or other delays. Would it make more sense to do take the 9:23 AVE train and just deal with the hour long transfer at Antequera?

Has anyone done this journey and have any recommendations? I looked at the ALSA bus but 5 hours on a bus is just too long for me.

Thanks for your help!

That bus is run by RENFE and links directly to the train. Going from Madrid to Granada last summer, the bus was waiting for the train and didn't leave til everyone on the train got on the bus. I assume it works the same way from Granada to Madrid.
