Train from Seville to madrid on a specific date

Hi I'm trying to book the train ticket from Seville to Madrid on 29th April saturday. I have my flight from Madrid at 21:50 hours at Madrid so trying to book afternoon ticket from Seville.

However, I observed for that day there are number of trains which are currently not available. I checked the schedule a week back and the situation is the same. However, for one more preceding week, it is showing the schedule. Should i wait for the ticket availability or book the time for which it is currently showing on the website.

How much time it takes from Madrid Atocha to Bajras Airport if I go by metro/train? I' ve to factor this in mind before I book the ticket.

I don't know why there are so many trains not available for your route on April 29...

I'd suggest calling Renfe at 902-320-320 ( you'll need to dial 011-34 before this number if calling from the US). Renfe representatives are available 24/7 and they may be able to tell you why those trains are not available, and if they will become available.

I always prefer to spend the night before my flight in the departure city.
I know your flight doesn't depart till 21:50, but I just don't like to take any chances.

Keep in mind that you need to be at the airport at least 2 hours before your flights departure.

It takes about 25 minutes to travel from Atocha station to Terminal 4 on the C-1 line Cercanías.

You may consider spending your last night in Madrid... Or take the train into Madrid in the morning, leave your luggage in a secure locker at the Atocha station, enjoy a few hours in the city, then head over to the airport.

Enjoy your trip!

I took the train from Cordoba to Atocha, then Cercanias to Barajas, last year. It was easy, I allowed 3 hours at the airport and even though I was at terminal T4 (remote) and the Cercanias was about 15 minutes late, I still had plenty of time for a 23.10 flight.

Here's the way I see it:
15.45 - 18.15 train from Sevilla
18.44 - 19.09 Cercanias to Barajas
21.50 Flight out.

That gives you 2.5 hours at the airport. The train tickets are available for purchase.

Or are you looking at the 13.40 - 16.05 train? I don't think you need the extra 2 hours. It is odd that the trains aren't available. They are on the 2 days before then.

Make sure you are entering the right stations into the ticket search. For Madrid, it should be Puerta de Atocha. Sevilla is Santa Justa.

I entered your specifics and see lots of options.

Give yourself about an hour to transfer from Atocha to the airport - it may take less but that gives you some cushion and time for walking and waiting for the next train. Leave two hours for airport arrival minimum if returning oversees.

Unfortunately, all trains which weren't available are full now.

I have to purchase the expensive tickets.
Is there any other option from Seville to Madrid. How muhc would a bus ticket cost? I guess it would take more time than a 3 hour comfortable train journey.

If I were you, I'd book my train ticket sooner rather than later, as many are traveling that weekend.

May 1st is Labor Day and May 2nd is a local public holiday in Madrid.

Taking a bus on this route is not a good idea because travel time is more than 6 hours!

There are still promo fares for the 11.45 and the 15.45 train, though they aren't the cheapest, they're still less than full fare. Buy now - the price will only go up.

I wouldn't depend on a bus to get me over 500 kms to an overseas flight, certainly not on a holiday weekend. Viamichelin estimates the driving time at 5.5 hours.
