I am travelling to Spain in mid-March, flying from Barcelona to Malaga. Meeting my family of 5 in Seville. Unfortunately, made the flight arrangement from B. to M. before final plans. Is there a train from Malaga to Seville easily accessible from the airport in Malaga?

If my memory serves me right, there is a suburban train (accessible by walkway) straight from the Malaga Airport to the Malaga train station (4 stops? 20 mins max, from the terminal?). If you allow at least a couple of hours between your arrival time at the airport and your train's departure, you should be OK (barring any flight delays).
Check the train schedule from the Malaga train station to Sevilla, on the Renfe website.

Malaga airport to Malaga Zambrano station by cercanias (commuter) train in minutes - http://www.renfe.com/viajeros/cercanias/malaga/index.html - the airport station is now almost immediately outside the airport, follow the signs.
