Train from Granada to Malaga

I have looking at trains from Granada to malaga.
What I see is that in Granada the only trains that operate from the station are Renfe AVE.

This is what I am not sure about: Does the train depart Granada, and then arrive at Antequera Santa Ana train station,
and then continue onto Malaga Maria Zambrano station?
Or do I have to transfer trains at Antequera Santa Ana train station to another Renfee AVE ? or to a Regional train ?

I looked at booking at renfe.com, when I chose a time for this route, It only shows me the departure and arrival staions
Rome2Reo, show it as a direct train
https://www.bahn.com/en shows it as dirert with 2 stops
Anyone that has taken this train, your info would be great.
Thanks

AI is correct. Take the bus and it is cheaper and faster.

On the Renfe website, click on one of the price blocks for the train you're interested in, then scroll down a bit and click on Journey details.

Thanks for the replies.
RE: Forget the train the bus is direct more efficient quicker.
Can you please elaborate on this, why the bus would be better
When I look at the site posted, its show a travel time of 1 Hr 40 Min to 2 hr plus.
The Renfe train site show a travel time of 1 Hr 16 Min average.
I realize the bus is cheaper, but its time spent traveling ,and getiing to and from the staions, that is more important to us.
Thanks.

I suspect that, in addition to the trains you found that involve transfers in Antequera, you can patch together other options that involve going all the way back to Cordoba and a layover there. That could take appreciably longer. The very limited number of good connections into and out of Granada can be a challenge for some travelers, which is probably one reason why the buses are so popular.

Both the bus station and the train station in Granada are beyond walking distance from the center of town, so additional transportation will be required in any case.

OK. We actually prefer trains as they have more space to get up and toilets but when we were in a similar situation looking at trains the bus was non stop arrived in the center of town and fit the time we wanted to leave Granada and arrive in Malaga.
