Train from Barcelona to Granada

on Renfe site, I see morning direct train AVE - 03930 available between Barcelona and Granada until 9-Sep-2022. After that date, it is showing only the afternoon direct train that reached reaches Granada around 11 pm. I would like to avoid reaching so late. Shall I wait for more time to see if that morning train becomes available for the end of September?

My second question is more generic - if there is a train connection how much minimum layover time should we must have to be able to catch the second train? normally is there a platform change that can take longer? on Renfe site for some trains it is showing just 15 minutes time when I get off the first train and second train leaves? will that be enough with luggage? Apologies if thats a bad question.

Thanks

Have you looked into flights? When I did it (in the other direction), there were flights close to the same price as trains; but that was many years ago.

The least amount of time on the rail route is more than 8 hours with a change of train in Madrid. So you might look at flights —which run $19 for a 90 minute flight if bought now— or stick to the trains which start at about $100 per ticket. www.Skyscanner.com has flight info. www.TheTrainline.com has train schedules.
