Tour Companies or Guides - Malaga Area

Hello Fellow Travelers!

We will be doing a Rick Steves tour of Spain (Best of Spain in 14 Days) in April/May. Afterwards we are heading to southern Spain near Malaga and staying at a time share resort for one week. We'd like to book a tour or private guide and do a couple of day trips such as to Gibraltar and Cordoba. I couldn't find any recommendations in the RS Spain guidebook. Our resort uses "Julie Tours" but they have pretty bad reviews on Trip Advisor. Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations? We were not planning on renting a car (if possible).

I'm not sure about particular tours, but Gibraltar is not a viable day trip from Malaga with public transportation (not well serviced) with 4+ hrs of travel each way. It would only work if you rent out a car for the day (1:40 hr each way).

Malaga to Cordoba is only about an hour by train (AVE) but at least twice as long a trip by car, so I don't think any sort of tour makes sense unless it uses the AVE for transportation.
