Torremolinos Lift Info Elevator To The Beach

Hello
We will be arriving in Torremolinos by train, our Hotel is at Bajondillo Beach.
I'm looking to confirm some info on the Ascensor a la Playa Torremolinos ( Lift ).(Elevator To The Beach)
Is the top of the lift located at Plaza Del Panorama ? If so where in the Plaza?
And by using the lift, will we avoid all the stairs of Calle San Miguel with our luggage?
Thanks
John

Torremolinos is a town popular primarily with British tourists. It's not somewhere that features on the radar of the average American or non European tourist and this is most likely the reason for a lack of responses.

I've never been to Torremolinos, it's had a bit of a poor reputation in terms of British tourists wanting British food, British bars etc. I've heard that the authorities have made an attempt at turning the town around but I have no idea how successful this has been.

Haven’t been to T-town since 1979 due to the number of ex-pats. The same goes for the entire Costa Del Sol. Looking at Google maps, ascensor a la playa lets you out at Plaza de Los Tajillos. Right by it is the ascensor centro ciudad that lets you off by Balcon De San Miguel Shopping Center further up the hill. I couldn’t find a Plaza Del Panorama in the town.

I have also never been to Torremolinos but I too believe the town has smartened up a bit in recent years. It’s a purpose built resort from the 60s/70s and will not be a place of particular interest to anybody really except those wanting fun in the sun.

I spent two weeks in Torremolinos last year. Saw the elevator. Google Maps will get you there. Whether you'll need to negotiate more stairs after you arrive at the upper level to get to your hotel is not something I, or probably anyone else, can answer. It would be nice if one of the mapping apps would better illustrate stairs and similar features than Google Maps does.

I will say that Spain generally strikes me as somewhat less friendly to the mobility challenged than most of the remainder of Europe, and as you probably know Torremolinos has quite a bit of relief once you get away from the beach.

after being there , the lift is the way to go,, train station to beach area or visa versa, only .050
