Toledo hotel

The last two times we were in Toledo we stayed at Hotel María Cristina partly because it has its own parking garage. We enjoyed it. It is not in the historic center so some walking is involved.

We stayed at Hotel Pintor El Greco in Toledo and enjoyed it and their staff. The breakfast was excellent! I just checked it on Booking.com. It has an excellent 8.7 review rating.

We enjoyed the location and just took a taxi from the train station to the hotel.

Are you thinking about staying in Toledo the night before your flight home? If so, I would stay in Madrid the night before your flight. But, if you’re wondering about Toledo transportation, the train from Toledo goes to the Atocha train station in Madrid.

Check carefully to be sure rail service starts early enough to get you to the airport on tim; on weekends the trains start running quite late. You'll have to change trains at Atocha Station in Madrid, and it's not the sort of place where you want to plan a 5- or 10-minute connection. I don't know how long it will take to walk from the airport train station at Terminal 4 to your check-in counter, either.
