We are thinking of staying in Toledo for a couple of nights before flying to London. Our flight leaves MAD at 13:30 and we are planning to take the 9:25 train from Toledo to Atocha arriving at Atocha at 10:00 and then take the cercanias train to the airport. Does this sound like enough time to get our plane to London?
Thanks!
Ya -- with the normal caveat -- everything is on time. No strikes or delays. It is not something I would be comfortable doing but if you are willing to take a little risk then you should be OK. If I was flying home, I absolutely would not do it.
Same here. I'd want to be on the 0755 or even 0725 train to give myself leeway in case of any problems, but everyone has their own risk profile.
As Frank said, if everything is on time. Arriving three hours early for our flight back to the states a few days ago was plenty of time. We stayed in the city our last night so we had options if there had been a transportation glitch.
If it were me, I'd stay the last night in Madrid's city center. Just as romantic and less stress if something goes wrong with the trains.
I am trying to change our train reservation on Trainline to an earlier train now.
Do I have to cancel our current reservation and make a new one? I don’t see how to change the reservation but not cancel the whole reservation.
