Toledo day trip

We would like to do a day trip from Madrid to Toledo and like the RS suggestion to hire a driver. The RS book offers two phone numbers, but no email address. I'm wondering if anyone has ever used the drivers recommended by RS or perhaps used other drivers? Or, does anyone have an email contact for the drivers.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Suggest you take the AVE from Madrid to Toledo....can purchase tickets in advance at a substantial discount, or if you of senior status, with your passport for I d you can purchase them at a discount on the day of travel. Only 24 minutes from Atocha to Toledo...great experience.

Thank you for the suggestion. We are leaning in that direction, now.

Unless you have significant mobility impairments, there is no need to hire a driver to take you to Toledo. The streets there are mostly car-free and so you'll have to do a lot of walking anyway. The AVE gets you there from Atocha in 30 minutes and you can take a bus or taxi up to the main Plaza.

I do recommend buying your train tickets a day or two ahead or online. No discount, but lines at Atocha can be very long and you don't want to waste an hour of your day just to get a ticket. You can buy the return ticket at that time too if you know when you want to return. Or just buy it at the Toledo station.
