The 2018 RS Spain book mentions the Toledo City Tour bus that has a 1-stop option for 5 minutes at the photo viewpoint, costing 5.50 euros according to the book. The only info I found online was for the full Hop-on Hop-off bus ticket for 15 euros. Is there a 1-stop option from the train station? We just want a scenic ride to the plaza with a stop at the photo viewpoint en route. Or perhaps we should just take a taxi with the same route and quick stop, maybe 15 euros for that? Thank you.
If you Google Toledo Spain bus to viewpoint you'll get lots of hits, many from TripAdvisor, laying out your options. I wasn't able to drag myself away from the town long enough to go out to the viewpoint.
There's a tourist train you can catch at Plaza Zocodover in town that will take you there & around town.
I took the tourist train and enjoyed it. The trick is to get on early so you're on the correct side - those with the best views. My vague memory is that the right side was better but I could well be wrong. There were photo op stops.
Yes, Chani is correct. The right side of the tourist train will give you the best views.
