Tips on a 15 days trip to Spain, in March

I´m taking a car trip through Spain, in March 2017, with a friend, leaving from Lisbon on March 11th.
I planned the following route and would like to know if it´s a good one.

11 - Leaving Lisbon, with a stop to have lunch at Albufeira (Algarve) and sleep in Seviila.
12- Sevilla
13 - Sevilla
14 - Route though Pueblos Blancos, sleeping in Ronda
15 - Gibraltar, Marbella/Puerto Banus, sleeping in Malaga
16 - Caminito del Rey, sleeping in Granada
17 - Granada
18 - Granada
19 - Cordoba
20 - Cordoba
21 - Madri
22- Madri
23 - Madri
24 - Madri - Merida - Monsaraz (Portugal) - Evora
25 - Evora
26 - Lisbon

I have doubts if on the day I leave Sevilla (march 14th), we could pass by Jerez de La Frontera or we should start straight from Arcos de la Frontera, to make the Pueblos Blancos route, ending in Ronda. In which towns we would be able to stop, on the way, to have an overview of the place, being able to arrive in Ronda before it gets dark?

In the next day, we will head back to Gibraltar, pass by Marbella and sleep in Malaga. How much time could we spend in Gibraltar, without spoiling the rest of the day, as we want to spend some time in Marbella?

Any tips on Merida? How much time we need to have an overview of the city, as we will have to drive to Evora, passing by Monsaraz?

Do you have any idea of how much we would spend on gas/diesel and toll to complete the route?

I appreciate if you can give any input and recommendations.

Thanks a lot.

Delma.

Delma, folks often recommend the ViaMichelin website for estimates of driving times and costs.

VM estimates the Madrid-Merida-Monsaraz-Evora day as 7 hours of driving without any stops, so seeing any of Merida is going to be challenging. Here's Google's map of Merida. It flags several of the key sights, so you can see that they are neither side-by-side nor terribly far apart.

I would modify this bit ...
24 - Madrid - Caceres - Merida
25 - Merida
26 - Merida - Evora - Lisbon

And this bit ...
14 - Route though Pueblos Blancos, sleeping in Ronda
15 - Caminito del Rey, sleeping in Malaga
16 - Nerja, sleeping in Granada

Not sure of Marbella and Puerto Banús. Lonely Planet says, "Marbella is the Costa del Sol’s classiest (and most expensive) resort. This wealth glitters most brightly along the Golden Mile, a tiara of star-studded clubs, restaurants and hotels stretching from Marbella to Puerto Banús, the flashiest marina on the Costa del Sol, where black-tinted Mercs slide along a quayside of luxury yachts". Nerja is less developed (more unspoilt) part of the coastline.

Multi-destination plane tickets can help make trans-ocean travel more efficient. Using a multi-city search function, you can see if you can fly home from Madrid instead of going back to Portugal; any extra fare could be more than made up by the savings in both money in time backtracking to Portugal.
