Timing: sagrada familia and casa batllo

Hi all, I have tickets to see Sagrada Familia at 9:15am with 9:45am elevator to one of the tours. Also want to spend time looking at the exterior. We also want to see Casa Batllo in the late morning- I want to get tickets but not sure what time- how much time would you say it takes to leisurely take in Sagrada Familia and then travel to Casa Batllo? Any advice much appreciated!!

It seems like you might take more time in SG than I did, but I didn't do an elevator based tour - I just wandered through. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. I had walked over to SG from Casa Batllo. The walk took me about 40 minutes at a comfortable pace, and I was pausing to look around at stuff that interested me so it could clearly be done faster. Casa Batllo let us in hours and hours before our assigned entry time too, so it didn't seem to matter what time was stamped on our tickets there. On the other hand, SG was extremely strict about entry time - we couldn't even get in 15 minutes before our time.

I see Casa Batllo is selling timed entry fast passes now AND open time entry passes (2Euro more than the timed entry). When I bought our passes there was only the timed entry option, not the open time entry, so it may be that they were just not yet enforcing the differing options.

You could play it safe and buy the open entry or just buy timed entry for 12:30 or so and grab something to eat before you enter Basa Batllo.

Sagrada is an all time which we have visited on multiple occasions and never spent less than two hours in the place. Shame on anyone who only spends 30 minutes there! JK: I am married to an architect and have a huge fascination with the Sagrada. That said, recommend a minimum of one hour on the first visit, more likely 1 1/2 hours. Walking to Casa Baltllo is less than 30 minutes and quite pleasant. Also recommend a minimum of one hour there, again a place we spend a lot of time and discover more with each visit.
