We arrive in Barcelona on a Sunday in June with our flight due to arrive at 9:45 am. Will not have checked bags. Do you think we will be bale to make the sardana by the cathedral at 12:00? We will need to purchase a sim card and get money at the airport and plan on taking a taxi to the city.

If I recall correctly, there is also an evening Sardana dance in front of the Cathedral.
I was in Barcelona for a few days last October. Because of a huge demonstration for Catalan independence at Placa Cataluna I wasn't able to get to the cathedral until 2;30 - 3:00. It was no problem; the dancers were still at it!
How long does the dance typically last?
If the weather is good dancing will continue into the afternoon.
Tell the taxi driver "Catedral - Ronda Littoral y Via Laietana por favor".
Gran Via can be slow with traffic sometimes.
