I have looked online and found tickets for $57.00 do I need to purchase this before hand if we are going the week of Feb 11th?

The Alhambra regularly sells out well in advance. If $57 is the price of a single ticket, you are not on the official website. The regular price is a lot lower. However, at this point you may not have many options for a February visit. You might check with your hotel to see whether it can sell you a ticket at a better price. But do not delay.

There are very few Alhambra tickets available for February 11, 13 & 14.
The Alhambra General tickets are €14pp.
Book NOW before these tickets disappear.
Your other option is to get the Dobla de Oro General tickets at € 19.65pp.
This type of ticket includes the Alhambra plus a few other monuments in Granada.

I agree with the suggestion to contact your hotel. My tickets from the official website were around 15 euro. If they actually have tickets available right now for that week, I'd jump on them immediately. Another option to gain tickets would be to look for tours that might have tickets for you.
