At the top of Peu del Funicular, perched on the edge of the square, virtually hanging over the city, is Tibidabo.
What matters is the view. The view from the interior of the city and the Mediterranean Sea beyond is simply breathtaking. It's a privileged city that is able to offer its citizens and visitors such spectacular views of itself. Sometimes smog hangs over it, marring the experience somewhat.
Sundays are invariably more luminous as traffic diminishes substantially. On a sunny day, about one o'clock here is the best possible preparation for a proper feast back down in the city later.
Highly recommended and too often overlooked.
