I know the Camino de Santiago has been a increasingly popular topic on these forums of late, so I wanted to share a really interesting article from the BBC from today about "The Lighthouse Way" or "Camino dos Faros", a lesser-known Camino route located along the wild Finisterre coast of Spain's Galicia region.
This route offers a unique pathway along the Costa da Morte (Coast of Death), leading to the Finisterre Lighthouse. The coastal path provides stunning vistas of the Atlantic Ocean, cliffs, and beaches. The trail is much less frequented; the author and her husband encountered only eight other people during their five-day walk. The route winds through beautiful locations like Monte Branco, Trece Beach, Reira Beach, and Cabo Vilan Lighthouse. Hikers also pass by Iron Age hill forts, ancient stone mills, and the megalithic Dolmen de Dombate tomb from 4000 BCE.
