Taxis apps in Madrid, Seville, Cordoba, Granada and Toledo

I have used Uber in a few European countries without issue. I used Freenow in Italy and it worked well most of the time. Which taxi app should I download to my phone should I be unable to locate a taxi stand or taxi on the street while in Spain? I don't plan on taking many cabs at all.
I haven't come across any reports of shady cab drivers overcharging tourists, as I've seen mentioned on the Italy travel forums and experienced myself first hand in Naples. However, I stood firm on the fare I knew was set and paid just that. I know the fixed rate to/from the Madrid airport as well, and am hoping for honest drivers.

Thanks in advance.

From what I have heard, Spain is a good taxi country. I’m headed to Spain in 2 weeks and have the pidetaxi app on my phone ready to use. It was recommend by several forum members.

Pidetaxi app is what we used in Spain and it worked great. The taxis were cheap and reliable and showed up quickly. I also liked that you had the taxi number showing on the app and your name is on their screen inside the taxi, so you know it's the right one.

I've never used a taxi app in Spain and have never had trouble finding a taxi, at the taxi rank or by hailing on the street. Or from my hotel....

In my experience, the drivers use meters and are honest....

Over two weeks on Spain we took several taxis. In Barcelona we used FreeNow. In Seville Cabify was popular. Cordoba had no ride-share apps I could find. And in Madrid it was Cabify again. But in Barcelona and Madrid the apps weren’t really necessary. It was very easy to just hail a cab. Every driver we had charged exactly the amount on the meter.

On caveat about Cabify and reserving a ride for the future. You do not have a driver assigned when you reserve a ride. We needed to head to the Madrid airport at 600am and reserved a taxi to pick us up then. Instead our driver was assigned at the last minute and was scheduled to pick us up but would have been 15-20 minutes late. It took me two minutes to hail a cab which I did and then I cancelled the Cabify.
