Has anyone taken a trip from Tarifa to Tangier? We are doing this and need some guidance. We are staying in Tangier for two nights. We will have a car. Where do we park in Tarifa? Did you book parking in advance? Did you buy your ferry tickets in advance? I'm trying to get the logistics down. Thanks.

Most tourists go as foot passengers.
We left our car in Tarifa.
Assuming you have a rental car, you will need evidence of specific permission from the rental company to take it to Morocco.
I should try and book a hotel with secure car parking.
Apart from that, search for secure car parking on Google.

We did buy our tickets online in advance.
It is some time since I last went. Be aware that local hustlers will try to "help" you with passport control on the way in and out. Do not let go of your passport!

The one and only time we've been to Tangier from Tarifa (we won't go again, I don't recommend it) we were out of luck with the parking at the secure compound in the port as it's not very big and it fills up very quickly so you'll need to get there early. We then almost missed our ferry due to spending so much time driving around the streets looking for somewhere to park. We found a space eventually but it was quite stressful.
