I'm going to Barcelona in a month and am looking for a good tapas crawl and a recommended outfit to do a walking tour upon arrival.

The tourist office offers several themed walking tours. They are quite inexpensive; you might prefer something more targeted. However, I was pleased at the moderate size of the BT tours; some of the other tour groups I saw around the city were much larger.
The Barcelona Turisme website has a list of walking tours shown on the left panel of this webpage. The first four are run by BT itself. I think the others are offered by private companies. I've only take some of the BT tours (Barri Gotic, Picasso, and Modernisme), plus a highly specialized Spanish Civil War tour.

Runner Bean is another organization that operates excellent walking tours in Barcelona. I have taken a couple of them and I believe they compare very favorably with the three or four I have taken from the Barcelona TI. RB tours are "free", but a tip of between 10 and 15 euro is fair if you received a good tour.
