Does anyone have experience with any of the guides in the RS Spain book for a day trip from Tarifa, Spain to Tangiers? Would you recommend a package tour from Tarifa or is it doable to get yourself to Tangiers on the ferry and meet a guide there?

I feel I have to say this: I don't recommend Tangier at all. There are great places in Morocco (with Fes and Marrakech, among others, being readily accessible by air from many cities in Europe), but Tangier isn't one of them. Consider what you could do with the 1-1/2 days this jaunt is going to take--assuming you wouldn't otherwise go to Tarifa. Have you allotted enough time for Seville, Cordoba and Granada? Are you already going to Cadiz, Ronda, the white villages, Ubeda/Baeza?
