On a Rick Steve’s podcast a recommendation was made for a guide named Aziz in Tangier.....trouble is there are a few guides with that name.
Anyone know which Aziz, Rick is recommending?

I do not have it in front of me, but I'm pretty sure there is contact info for recommended guides in the Tangier section of his Andalucia guidebook!

Time for me to get out my Tangier pompoms! I think Tangier is a cool city. That said, I think its appeal is more related to atmosphere than specific sites. My argument is usually that it helps to be there for at least an overnight or two.

There are two listed in the Spain guidebook/Tangier chapter: Aziz "Africa" Benami and Aziz Begdouri. I'm not sure which one the podcast would be referring to. We booked a tour with Benami (tangierprivateguide.com) and were satisfied with it.
