We will be in Barcelona in late September. The best time for us to visit La Boqueria will be first thing on a Tuesday morning prior to going to the Sants Train Station to catch a train to Valencia. If necessary, can we bring our luggage into the market? If not, any suggestions as to where we can leave our bags? We may not have time to leave them at the apartment and then have to backtrack tor retrieve them.
I visited in the early morning on a Tuesday and as I recall it was pretty busy, mostly with vendors moving product in and out. I wouldn't have wanted to take my luggage around with me. But of course there will be people there with their shopping carts and baby strollers, kind of like luggage. I might instead pick a cafe on the outside perimeter and take turns walking through the interior part of the market. The market map is here: https://www.boqueria.barcelona/stands-market
Maybe a controversial take, but you could skip it and go to another market, like the Mercat Central in Valencia. There are great markets in every Spanish city. Sure, La Boqueria is big and famous, but also probably the most touristed market in all of Spain.
I agree with @scudder. To us, La Boqueria was way too touristy and crowded. We were not fans. Lugging bags around will be difficult.

There is no way I would want to be lugging my luggage around La Boqueria or anywhere near it. Much better experiences to be had. Brad
La Boqueria is super central, open all day, and 30 min is enough to get the idea, so you might end up being able to go at another time! I would not go there with luggage.
The Mercado Central in Valencia is nicer and incomparably less touristy, by the way, but they're not mutually exclusive!
No, you should not bring your luggage into the market. It is way too crowded. Not only too cumbersome for you, but also inconsiderate to others trying to navigate the market. Agree with previous posts that you should consider the market in Valencia as a better alternative.
