Can anyone confirm if the Black Madonna can be viewed on Sunday afternoons? The website is unclear which days of the week are available for afternoon viewing.
We went in the afternoon one Sunday and there was a line to see her so yes she can be viewed on Sunday afternoon.
What is unclear? https://www.montserratvisita.com/en/organize-the-visit/useful-information/times ... Throne of Our Lady: every day ;))
Thank you. RS’ Barcelona book ( 2016) states no viewing on Sundays until 19:30.. so I just wanted to confirm.
Sorry to point out...never trust a travel guide, always confirm with the actual site. Something else, of course, is that sometimes, for some sites, the "horse's mouth" in itself might not be kept up-to-date either.
But, that sounds wrong anyway... almost everything in Montserrat is closed by 6:45 or 7pm, therefore it's, if anything, weird that RS guide indicates "not until 7:30pm"
Yes, I thought the late hours could not be correct. I am very happy to hear that the Madonna will be viewable on Sundays; it seems that Sunday will our best day to go given other commitments and I really want to get the most out of the day at Montserrat. Thanks again.
This might be of interest if visiting The Black Madonna- it is on the website for the Railways/Funiculars/ Cremallera-

Looks like one of the funiculars is closed until 2020 .
