Summer clothing

Hello, my trips starts in a week yyaaayy!!
I'm wondering if in summer inside places, museums, restaurants, shopping, I will need to wear a jacket like in the states with air conditioning ??

I mentioned this in your France post, too, but the AC won’t be going full blast most anywhere you go in Spain. Lots of people eat outside, with heat and cigarette smoke, but we go inside, to try to avoid those. It’s still not frigid.

A light sweater, jacket, or wrap you could put around your shoulders would be helpful, if you’re prone to chills, but I’d be surprised if you needed it at any time in the summer.

Your plane flights to and from Spain will be MUCH colder than restaurants, museums, or stores there.

Next weekend temperatures in Madrid are expected to reach 36 C and in Sevilla 40 C. The latter is 104 degrees Fahrenheit. You don’t need to worry about being cold, you need to worry about and plan for the blistering heat. Visit outdoor sights early in the morning, don’t do strenuous activities during the hottest times of the day, drink lots of water etc etc.

No, you won’t need a jacket for indoors. In Europe the aircon is not run at arctic temperatures like you find in America.

Bundle up on the airplane. I always carry a lightweight cardigan. When the sun goes down and the temperature drops below 75 I prefer to have my arms covered.

Now that the weekend is coming closer, the expected temperatures are even worse now. In Madrid, the temperatures will rise to 37 C / 99 F in the weekend. In Sevilla the situation will be even worse with temperatures soaring to a scorching 42 C / 107 F.
I’ll repeat my advice; prepare for heat, not for cold.
