Visiting Andalusia March 2026, family of 6, high schoolers - young adults. Looking for suggestions for day trips from Seville & Granada as we have an extra day in both cities that we would like to fill. Already visiting: Cordoba, Cadiz, Ronda & Caminito del Rey.
You’ll need to rent a car for my suggestions, but from Sevilla you can drive to Arcos de la Frontera (1h 15m) and from Granada, Nerja takes 1h 15m.
From Sevilla, Carmona might make a decent day trip. If you had a rental car and wanted to visit places most tourists don’t think of, 1.5 hours northwest is Zafra, Jerez de los Caballeros, Castle Nogales, and Castillo de Feria s. XV. It would be a full day, but you could see all of them.
From Granada, maybe Jaén or Baeza. Both are 1-1.5 hours from Granada.
How much time do you have in Sevilla? Because if it's less than four days, I would not worry about a day trip.
If you do want a day trip from Sevilla, it's easy to get to both Jerez and Cadiz by train.
Will you have a car? That matters quite a bit here.
Without a car, one option from Granada is Priego de Cordoba. With a car I'd opt for Baeza or Ubeda; they're Renaissance cities that look very different from much of Andalucia. They are on one of the possible driving routes between Cordoba and Granada.
