I am looking for a few good books on the history of Spain throughout the centuries. Any suggestions ?
If interested in the Basque Country, The Basque History of the World by Mark Kurlansky reflects quite well our history and traditions, from a US point of view.
"Kingdoms of Faith" by Brian Catlos is a good book on the Islamic history of Spain, and includes chapters on the Arab-Amazigh forces that landed in southern Spain unseating the Visigothic Kingdom, the Umayyad Caliphate, various Taifa kingdoms, the Emirate of Grenada; shifting alliances/wars/interactions between the various Islamic kingdoms and Catholic kingdoms in northern Spain, and much much more.
If you are open to resources on Spanish history besides books, there is an excellent survey course on The Great Courses titled "The History of Spain: Land on a Crossroad" by Joyce E. Salisbury, which covers Spanish history from Stone Age settlement of the Iberian peninsula to the 21st Century.
A Vanished World: Medieval Spain's Golden Age of Enlightenment by C. Lowney
Dogs of God: Columbus, the Inquisition, and the Defeat of the Moors by J. Reston
Sevilla, Cordoba, and Granada: A Cultural History (Cityscapes)
BBC has a 2012 podcast, "The Invention of Spain", by Misha Glenny. There are three 30 minute episodes.

Giles Tremlett - Espana: a Brief History of Spain is a very good overview.
And a second vote for the Misha Glenny podcast series mentioned above. Available on BBC Sounds: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/series/b01nm4qm?partner=uk.co.bbc&origin=share-mobile
