Suggestions for accommodations in Granada

After all the great information I got on the best ways to get to Granada, I would like to know any suggestions for accommodations in that city. Anything under $180 a night would be be the most helpful. Preferably in the center of town.

We stayed at the hotel, Room Mate Leo and were happy with our room which had a large balcony, and the breakfast (paid for breakfast ) was excellent. I’m looking at a Oct. 12-14 stay - 2 nights for $168 total.

I don't know what your style is, but we stayed at the Landazuri. It's classified as a hostal, which is not the same as a hostel. Some of the booking sites call it Pensione Landazuri.

It's just a few steps away from the city center, on the way up to the Alhambra. Quirky, in a good way. We were given our choice of rooms, and ended up with a two level, two bedroom suite, with bath, for €45. Really. Now, this was a few years ago (7?), and they didn't serve breakfast. But we loved it.

I really liked El Ladron de Agua. Perfect location - in the center of where you want to be - easy walk to downtown AND the Albayzin, very close to the walking path or bus stop to the Alhambra. Nice rooms, smaller hotel, I'd highly recommend it. It has more of a boutique hotel feel.

We stayed at Hotel Anacapri. LOVED it. We booked directly with the hotel mentioning the Rick Steves guide. We were given a large room and breakfast at no charge. It was very centrally located and the staff was helpful.
