Suggested lodging during Semana santa in Seville

I’m looking for insight on Hotel San Gil and Exe Sevilla Macarena in Seville during Holy Week 2026? What are your thoughts on those properties, access to cafes/restaurants in those areas, and ability to navigate Seville from those hotels as home bases? I have read the forums and many other sources and realize Semana Santa is the main even that week. I have to be in Seville that week (first time in Spain) and am hoping to experience Semana Santa to some extent but also the other attractions of Seville if possible. Open to other accommodation suggestions and tips on seeing more than the processions. Thank you in advance!

They are only 5 minutes walk apart and so not much different. San Gil is in a more built up area and Exe Sevilla has the parliament park next to it (I think the "exe" is because it is outside the ancient walls - but is still very central). So the former might feel busier. Both have cafes, bars, etc near them that are more local than touristy. Honestly, I'm not sure they are that different in terms of location (I cannot comment on the quality of the hotels themselves).
In terms of getting around, you'll mostly be walking and neither is obviously better than the other so far as getting to most sites is concerned.
The Macarena basilica is an important starting point for Easter parades into central Sevilla - but both hotels are about the same distance from the route.
If it matters, the tourist bus does stop a little bit closer to the Exe hotel than the other. But only by a minute or so.
I guess, either would be fine.

Thank you Nick! Open to other lodging suggestions if you have them. I got these 2 off of ChatGPT LOL which seems like it does a great job taking into consideration your criteria/preferences, but I don’t have full faith in it yet.
