Sometimes we break up a long stay w 2 hotels in different parts of the cities. Thought maybe we'd spend 3rd-6th in Casco Antiguo and then 6th-12th in a quieter neighborhood. We enjoy walking and seeing sights but access to public transportation is important. This is our first time there. Any suggestions? Thanks

I loved my stay at Suites Murillo Alcazar when I went in November. It's right next to the Alcazar and Cathedral, but was very quiet at night (with the exception of a Friday night when there was some kind of outdoor party nearby that had a live band). There is a rooftop terrace that only you and the two other suites in the building have access to. The suite has a large bathroom, kitchen and living area.

We liked the Murillo Hotel in the old city. The same company owns Murillo Suites.
