Staying in Granada

Hi just wondering if anyone has stayed in Palacio de Santa Ines hotel, which I think seems to be in the Albayzín quarter. We will be arriving via bus from Malaga - two or three night stay in mid September. Prices and reviews across several sites seem good.
I am wondering if it is relatively easy to access from the bus station / what kind of taxi fare might I expect if it is not easily walkable?
Also interested in comments re location for a short stay- obviously we want to visit the Alhambra! We are fit (enough) to walk most places/ use public transport.
And finally, any other comments would be appreciated! Thanks.

I'd be very happy with this choice of hotel near the Arab baths in Albaicin.
Nice looking 3 star with gorgeous patio and great reviews.
Rated 4.5 and #7 in Granada on Tripadvisor.

The Palacio de Santa Ines hotel is certainly not easily walkable, for me, from the bus station at 4 or 5kms (in unfamiliar surroundings for you). A taxi will get you very close for perhaps €10. Bus SN1 from outside the bus station will get you to the Catedral stop and you can walk perhaps the 5 to 10 minutes.

I've not stayed at Palacio de Santa Ines Hotel, but make sure it has air conditioning, as September will be very hot in Granada!

Make sure you book your Alhambra tickets way in advance...At least 3 months in advance, or as soon as your dates are set.

We are currently sitting on our large terrace (not our small one) and starring directly across at the Alhambra at night. Magical! You might want to investigate "Casa La Gran Vista" on Air Bnb. Our host, Beatrix, is fabulous!

It's a little inaccurate to describe Granada's September average temps of 14 to 28 as "very hot". How about we go with, "warm" ?
Max 0-5c - Very Cold
Max 5-10c - Cold
Max 10-15c - Cool
Max 15-20c - Mild
Max 20-25c - Average
Max 25-30c - Warm

Max 30-35c - Hot
Max 35-40c - Very Hot

We had a hard time getting tickets and ticket times we wanted.
Our hotel was able to get them and the surcharge was nominal.
I would suggest asking your hotel.

We stayed in the Albaicin and loved it. https://janettravels.wordpress.com/2013/06/15/granada-they-said-wed-be-mugged-in-the-albaicin/ See if your hotel can get Alhambra tickets; otherwise get them well in advance. They do sell out and it is pretty wonderful. We got tickets for noonish and the advantage of tickets for mid day is you can visit the ticketed areas both mornings and afternoons with those tickets; otherwise, you are limited to morning or afternoon entries. The place is enormous and you don't want your ticket being invalid as you move among the ticketed areas of the Generalife gardens. There are a lot of flamenco bars in the Albaicin and they bus people in from the center of town -- we didn't do flamenco there, but it would be easy to do staying in that area.

Ann and Janet that nformation re tickets is really helpful. I knew we had to book ahead but didn't realise that they might be easier via hotel. Janet thanks for advice re timing. I am about to read your trip report !
