We only have three days/two nights for this region and I'd rather stay in one and day trip to the other. Both cities seem wonderful, but which would be more advantageous to stay in? I just can't decide! We will not have a car, BTW. Gracias!
Sevilla is a beautiful city to stroll in the evenings - the Plaza de Espana, all the beautiful squares and the chance to catch a flamenco concert. Cordoba is pleasant, but the options are more limited.
In May we slept in Sevilla and easily day-tripped to Cordoba by train, bought the train ticket the morning of, took about 45 minutes to get to Cordoba. Having experienced both cities, we were happy with our decision to sleep in Sevilla and DIY day trip to Cordoba. We felt that Sevilla has too much to do in a day trip, and the cities are too close to justify sleeping in both.
Stay in Sevilla and day trip to Cordoba. Believe Sevilla has more to see.
Jaime's right, more to see for first-timers in Sevilla (and I like Cordoba more).
Maybe, but the train is a lot faster :-) With only one day, I'd choose the 45 minute train ride each way to spending 4 hours on a bus.
