We fly in/out of Barcelona in November. We'll be there a total of 10 days. We're struggling with whether to venture north toward the south of France or south toward Morocco.
It is more of a question of what do you want to see. Two completely different areas especially if you actually do go to Morocco. Also the weather will be better if you go south and days a little longer.
Since you fly in/out of Barcelona, perhaps stay in Catalonia and explore the region? You will find we have much more to see outside of our capital Barcelona. Medieval walled cities, old stone villages, Ancient Greek/Roman Ruins, whitewashed fishing towns, fortified Royal Monasteries, and 1000+ year old Romanesque churches high up in the Pyrenees - https://www.roughguides.com/destinations/europe/spain/catalunya/
In ten days it'll be hard to do justice to both Barcelona and the highlights of Morocco - I'd focus on areas closer to Barcelona, either in Catalonia or across the French border (Collioure, Cathar Country, Carcassonne).
But it's conceivable to combine, say Barcelona and Fes with the help of cheap flights.
Hello from Wisconsin,
Neither. Stay in Catalonia. Or Catalonia and the Basque region. Barcelona, Valencia, plus the southern side of the Pyrenees.
The temptation is to squeeze as much into a trip as possible. Except, what makes a trip really special are interactions with people. And when you are in a rush, it doesn't happen.
Eat tapas, and tapas, and tapas. Wine and wine and wine. Go to a small town and spend a night or two.
France is a great place to go and enjoy the beauty of the buildings, landscape, and FOOD. Do that on your next trip.

@wrdinc are you a "been there, seen that" type of visitor? if not, then, with 10 days only, stick to Catalonia and still, you'll only be able to scratch the surface. Just sayin' :)
