When does it usually starts in Madrid, please: March or April?
In Milan it starts in April for example (learned it from my personal experience). It is linked to birch and willow blooming.
The last few years it’s been the late-March/early-April turn that really fires up the spring allergies.
Thank you very much for this info, but comunidad website lacks English translation.
Sorry, I do not speak Spanish...
I have nothing to add about Madrid, but a few years ago we were in Tuscany when I suffered what I think must have been the worst allergy attack I had encountered in about 40 years. I quickly ran through the small supply of pills I had brought, “just in case.” I was able to find the otc I used, but the the price made me gasp. More than $1/capsule! I’m accustomed to paying $15 for a bottle of 500 caps.
Take what you think you might need. ( The trade off in Europe is that prescription medications are drastically cheaper than here.)
Arborvitae- That government link is very broad, and states that there are active pollen allergens from January to June. As I’d mentioned, late March/early April is the start of the season for most allergens that effect a broader population.
And I second the earlier comment- Zyrtec is available here, but much cheaper in the states.
Thank you very much, guys!
I got the answer I needed.
